Mapel 5-15-1999 to 4-4-2013
My baby when she was still healthy. I miss her a lot. I wish I could have made her feel better instead of sending her away. At least I know she is no longer in pain. She was with me through good times and bad times. We got through Marshall’s passing together and bonded more than ever after mourning his loss. I don’t have anyone to keep me comfy on the couch. Now I don’t have anyone to greet people the way Mapel did so well. Now I don’t have a bug hunter. But she’s chasing bugs now and whatever she wants and having a great chat with Marshall.
To Mapel: Sweet sweet Mapel I miss you so much. I can’t even write all that you meant to me. I wanted to end your pain. I had hoped you would have been with me much longer, but you stayed strong for me so now I will try to be strong for you. You were so silly but so smart and so sweet. I love you so much. Gigi misses you by the way. I hope you will continue to visit in spirit and keep teaching Gigi all that you know about the mysteries of life and how to behave like a good cat. Just like Marshall taught you. Goodbye dear friend of mine sweet Mapel. I think I made you happy. You made me so happy too.

New Year’s Resolution #2:
Try to be more of a superhero next year! Or maybe even just a regular hero who knows how to dress snappy… Okay, okay, how about a good, kind regular Joe who has a positive outlook and a heck of a lot of compassion for others and also has a good sense of style while able to dig out the good bargains so you look like you spent more than you really did… Happy almost new year 2013!
Just beginning to finally recover from Christmas. Now it’s time for another party??!! I don’t know if I can handle it!! Well, let me rest up for sure so I’ll be ready for tomorrow. Happy soon to be Happy New Year 2013! Giving out presents might be tiring, but celebrating by drinking tons of Brandied Egg Nog like crazy is also very tiring!
